Brief Currículum:
Graduated in Philosophy (Oviedo) and in Economics (UNED), he received his PhD in 2002 from the Complutense University of Madrid, after four years as a research fellow at the Institute for Philosophy of the CSIC (Spanish national Higher Council for Scientific Research). He has worked as a lecturer at the European University of Madrid and as a post-doctoral research fellow at the University of Exeter (UK). He is currently Associate Professor of Philosophy. His main research interests are science and values, philosophy of social sciences (particularly philosophy of economics), ethics of science and technology, and sustainability. He has been visiting scholar at the Delft University of Technology, the University of Amsterdam (The Netherlands), the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic), and the University of Guadalajara (Mexico). Currently he is a member of the STS Group and the Big History Group of the University of Oviedo. During this academic year he is teaching "Philosophy and Economics", History of Spanish Philosophy (Philosophy Programme) and "Introduction to Philosophy" (History of Art Programme). He is coordinator of the Philosophy Degree Programme, and deputy director of CeCodet.
