Next week, between September 25th and September 27th, the Aula Magna of the historic building of our University will be hosting an international conference on ‘Governance, Trust, and Risk Culture'. The conference is an initiative of the project ‘Concept and Dimensions of Risk Culture', held by the research group in Social Studies of Science of the University of Oviedo, in cooperation with the CIEMAT (Madrid), the University of Valladolid, the Centre for Research and Studies in Sociology of the University Institute of Lisbon, and other institutions. Our intention is to bring together experts and practitioners from different fields (philosophy, biology, education, health, politics, public administration, law, transport, art, sports, food industry, journalism…) to debate about the complex relations between trust, risk, and scientific and technological knowledge.
